Regular Season Round 35: Anyang - LG Sakers 69-77

An interesting game for Sakers (28-11) which played road game in Anyang against second-ranked Anyang (25-14). First ranked Sakers managed to get a 8-point victory 77-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Anyang. LG Sakers made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Anyang 39-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 22 rebounds and 5 assists. International guard Ki-sang Yu (188-2001) helped adding 22 points. Four Sakers players scored in double figures. American power forward Johnny OBryant III (207-1993, college: LSU, agency: Slash Sports) responded with 15 points and 9 rebounds and the former international point guard Jihoon Park (184-1995) scored 17 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sakers have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 28-11 record. Anyang at the other side keeps the second position with 14 games lost. They share it with Wonju DB. LG Sakers will play against bottom-ranked Daegu (#10) in Incheon in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Anyang will play at home against Suwon KT (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
